“A cup of tea solves everything.” – Anonymous
Did you know tea has so many great uses beyond just drinking it?
While drinking tea is absolutely the best use for tea :), you can also use it for cooking, cleaning and skincare!
That’s right folks, stock up on tea and add it to your beauty routine!
Tea and skincare? Really?
There are quite a few things you can do with tea such as face masks, face scrubs, face toner and more. So why not make up small collection and treat yourself and your girlfriends to relaxing spa day?
Actually, a spa day sounds really amazing. So here’s one favorite face scrub recipe to get you started.
Rejuvenating Green Tea Face Scrub
1 green tea bag (or equivalent loose leaf tea)
1 tablespoon pure honey
Brew yourself a good cup of green tea. Take the leaves and allow them to cool (either from the tea bag or loose leaf). Once cooled, mix with 1 tablespoon of pure honey. Then slowly mix in a small amount of rice flour. It won’t take much, so you need to just add a little at a time. You’ll know when it’s the right amount when it’s similar to the store-bought scrubs in consistency.
I recommend using the scrub within the day, but if you do have leftovers store in the refrigerator for no more than 2-3 days.
What’s it good for?
This face scrub is great when you’re recovering from an acne breakout by helping eliminate and ease scarring. It’s also great if you just want to exfoliate.
Also, by adding the pure honey you’re able to clarify, moisturize and sooth inflamed skin. Basically it just refreshes and rejuvenates your skin and the bonus is that it’s good as a body scrub, not just a face scrub.
Sounds great huh? Since skin absorbs best after exfoliation, don’t forget to dab some on!
Just relax and enjoy!
Even if it doesn’t do any of the things mentioned above it still makes your face feel great! So call your girlfriends, mix up a batch and get your exfoliation on!
P.S. Don’t forget to do the most important part…drink the tea!
